EXPLORING THE WEBSITE The Advanced Liturgy Forum is a unique, multi-dimensional presentation designed to
stimulate your thinking about various aspects of liturgy and liturgical renewal. Many of the
concept areas are presented in both graphic and textual formats. Many of the graphic
elements are linked to other areas. Simply click on the element you're interested in and it
may take you further into the topical area, or to a related topic.
There are four primary starting points for your exploration: 1) The Advanced Liturgy Matrix,
2) The Conceptual Syllabus, 3) the Master Index or 4) Master Site Map. Each of these is
represented on the menu bar at the left, as well as the bottom of each page. The following
comments might be helpful.
ADVANCED LITURGY MATRIX
This is the heart of the site. It is a graphic representation of many of
the aspects of liturgy explored throughout the Forum. Unfortunately,
not all the elements are linked at the present time, but as mentioned
earlier, the entire site is a work in progress. If an areas is of interest to
you, click on the element and see what happens.
CONCEPTUAL SYLLABUS
The Syllabus is an outline of the basic flow of ideas that underly the
speculative and theoretical areas incorporated into this site. It begins
with a link to the Advanced Liturgy Matrix, but opens up a number of
other avenues of exploration that are related to, but also different
from the structure of the matrix. These are challenging conceptual
areas that are intended to expand your thinking beyond the normal
boundaries which are commonly associated with liturgy. The whole
idea is that liturgy doesn't exist in isolation, but is incorporated into
an overall pattern of experience. The primary thrust is
anthropological and phenomenological.
MASTER INDEX
At the present time the Index is a hodge-podge of links that take you
into the site based on subject areas. The organization is essentially
random at the present time, but is nevertheless useful in exploring the
site.
MASTER SITE MAP
The Site Map provides a general overview of the functional aspects
of the site. The Map will take you directly into areas that the other
methods may get you too more or less circuitously. For instance, if
your interested in Documents, the quickest way to get there is from
the Site Map. However, from the Advanced Liturgy Matrix there is
also a link to the Documnts.
PARADIGMATIC PRIMER
One of the truly unique aspects of the Advanced Liturgy Forum is
the array of paradigmatic explorations of a wide variety of topics.
Each has been developed to explain aspects of different elements
associated (directly or indirectly) with liturgy.
PASTORAL CONCERNS & RESOURCES
Theory and education come together at a pastoral level. Perhaps you
